Veil Tail

Here are four betta breeds to help you figure out which breed of betta you have. These are the four breeds that we noticed most of the stores sell.

The most common betta breed, the Veil Tail is beautiful. Its tail comes up then gently slopes down like a wedding veil.

Halfmoon

A very beautiful and popular breed, the Halfmoon is truly splendid. Its tail gives it the name "halfmoon" because when they flare, their tails should go 180 degrees around their bodies!

Crowntail

This fish has a tail that grows out in almost spikes, giving it a nice spikey appearence. They are also very popular.

Double Tail

These are awesome fish! They have two distinct "lobes" instead of one tail. They may be subject to swim bladder issues. The other breeds also have double tail fish.
